The short answer
Online Hifz works when memorization is daily, personal and revised constantly. At Rahber, each student recites to their own teacher for 30–40 minutes, 2 or 5 days a week, on Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. Every lesson covers new memorization (sabaq), recent revision (sabqi) and long-term revision (manzil). Fees are £40 a month for 2 days or £60 a month for 5 days, and the first class is free.
How each Hifz lesson is structured
Sabaq — new lesson
Your child memorizes a new portion and recites it to the teacher until it is correct.
Sabqi — recent revision
The last few lessons are recited from memory so new memorization is never lost.
Manzil — long-term revision
Older portions are revised on a rolling cycle, so the whole memorization stays strong.
Who online Hifz suits
- Children aged 7+ who already read the Qur'an fluently
- Adults memorizing Juz Amma or selected surahs part-time
- Students who want a female teacher for their daughter or themselves
- Families without a local Hifz madrasa nearby
Not reading fluently yet? Start with Quran Recitation with Tajweed first — the teacher will advise in the free trial.
Fitting Hifz around UK life
Teachers are available 24/7, so you can ask for a slot before school, straight after school, after dinner or at the weekend — all in UK time. Many Hifz families choose early-morning lessons before school, when memorization is freshest. Tell us your preferred times on WhatsApp and we'll confirm a teacher. Hifz questions
What age can a child start Hifz?
Children who read the Qur'an fluently can usually start memorization from around age 7. The teacher checks reading level in the free trial before starting.
How does online Hifz work?
Each lesson follows the traditional pattern: sabaq (new memorization), sabqi (recent revision) and manzil (long-term revision). Your child recites to their own teacher, one-to-one, for 30–40 minutes.
How many days a week should a Hifz student study?
Most Hifz students choose 5 days a week (£60 a month) because daily revision keeps memorization strong. 2 days a week (£40 a month) suits slower, part-time memorization.
Can adults do Hifz online?
Yes. Many adults memorize part-time — Juz Amma or selected surahs — at a pace that fits around work.
Can my daughter have a female Hifz teacher?
Yes. You can request a male or female teacher when you enquire.
When are Hifz lessons available in the UK?
Teachers are available 24/7, so you can request times before school, after school, in the evening or at weekends in UK time. We confirm your teacher and slot on WhatsApp.
Which apps are used for lessons?
Lessons run on Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.
How much do online Hifz classes cost?
£40 per month for 2 days a week, or £60 per month for 5 days a week. The first trial class is free.
